Majuli College has installed a Sanitary Napkin vending and dispensing machine in the Girls’ Common Room. According to the National Family Health Survey 2015-2016, there are around 336 million Menstruating women in India, from which only 121 million women use a sanitary pad or sanitary napkin during periods. Only 36% of Indian women use feminine pads during periods. Many girls found it challenging to have access to a feminine pad during periods and have miss the classes. This Machine is the best option to get sanitary pad during without any hassle.
